# Prepare your descent
all you need to know about our descents in the Ardèche
THE pont d’arc – 8 km
- Half-day activity, accessible from 7 years old.
- Departure at any time, until 4 p.m. / 5 p.m. maximum (duration 1h30 to 2h)
This is the ideal little stroll with family or friends!
Consider a distance of 8 km to be covered in 1 hour and a half, quietly! Departure: continuous from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Return: at fixed times from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except at the 1 p.m. time slot).
Clearly, we have the canoe, as long as we decide! A bus takes us from arrival point 5 (on the left bank of the river) to our car.
In the morning, in the cool: that’s good! At noon, around the picnic: it’s good! In the afternoon, swimming outing: it’s cool! In addition, we pass under the Arc Bridge in a canoe …
Go! We’re canoeing today!
The intermediary – 12 km
- half-day trip, accessible from 7 years old
- Fixed departure at 9 a.m. / 10:30 a.m. / 12 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. (duration 3 hours)
WARNING: Depending on the water level, this route may not be accessible with regard to the regulations in force (if the level is too high)
Neither too long nor too short, with or without a picnic, a canoe / kayak course with 2 differents parts just to enjoy the joys of this activity, with average sportiness.
Our shuttles will take you to the starting point located upstream of the Ardèche, at the Sampzon bridge.
The first part of the course takes place on a calm river, punctuated by slides (called a canoe pass) before joining the 8km descent course … with its passage under the Pont d’Arc.
Consider 3 hours of paddling to reach your return schedule … at fixed times from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at arrival point 5 (on the left bank of the river).
Slides, sun, swimming … Give it a try !!
The Ardèche gorges – 24km
- Full day activity
- Departure every half hour from 8:30 am to 10:30 am maximum (duration 5 hours)
- ! Don’t go under the Pont d’Arc!
As its name suggests, it will delight all nature lovers!
Our shuttles will take you to starting point 5 in Châmes where the Ardèche enters the deep gorges, the cliffs of which in some places reach nearly 300 meters high.
You can only be amazed by the beauty of this Reserve that we do our best to keep wild. This canoe route remains pleasant because it allows more frequent swimming, picnic, discovery breaks …
The earlier you leave, the more you will enjoy !
Sunscreen and a little sportiness are required.
After your 5 hours of canoeing / kayaking, without breaks, your return by bus is expected at the Sauze landing stage at 4 p.m. Allow 45 minutes for transport, to discover your descent in the canoe of the day from above during the return.

The Pont d’Arc and the Nature Reserve together: now is the time to test your sporting abilities with more than 6 hours of paddling … without breaks!
Departure at 8am !! At the earliest of the day you will be the first on the river.
A complete trip trought the Pont d’Arc and the nature reserve of the Gorges de l’Ardèche !
A big day of navigation to see EVERYTHING! Be careful, The last km to reach Sauze can be tiring if the water level is low.
From 4 p.m., our shuttles ensure your return.

The praised one – 2 days with bivouac
The 32km integral descent of the Ardèche gorges without time constraints and with a night of disconnection in the heart of nature!
- Departure between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. maximum (duration 7 hours)
- Pass under the Pont d’Arc
Since the time that we hear about it, it is the opportunity to live two days of adventure in canoe or kayak in Ardèche, quietly with family, friends or lovers!
Finally, the possibility of disconnecting from everyday life with a real return to basics by taking the strict minimum.
Departure “à la carte”, towards one of the two bivouac areas Gaud (1/3 of the course) or Gournier (half of the course). Don’t forget to book your tickets!
Unique and friendly evening around a barbecue, in all simplicity.
The next day, enjoy the pleasures that nature offers us. The idleness of this descent ends in Sauze, where our shuttles will be waiting for you at 4 p.m.

Plastic shoes or old tennis shoes (except taps, flip flops or unclosed shoes), Cords to hold your glasses or an old pair
Towels to dry yourself off, Different dry clothes to change into, Sun protection (cream, glasses, cap …)

Tent, groundsheet and sleeping bag, if you want to sleep under the stars. To maximize the space of your containers, pack your tent in a 100L, 200L garbage bag and secure it with turnbuckles.
Warm clothes for the nights are cool
Flashlight, lighting (no access to energy on the bivouac areas, charge your laptops!)
Meals to plan for the morning, noon and evening (the bivouac areas allow barbecues and grills).
